American Legion World Series to air on ESPNU and ESPN3

The 2018 American Legion World Series (ALWS) in Shelby, N.C., will feature the eight top teams in the nation, all of which will have a chance to play on national television.

Games begin on Thursday, Aug. 16, and run through Championship Tuesday on Aug. 21.

The app, available through the Apple Store and Google Play, will keep baseball fans connected with game schedules, pairings, scores, video highlights, photos and more.





Here is the schedule of events for the 2018 ALWS:

Thursday, Aug. 16 – Senior Citizens Day

10 a.m. – Mid-Atlantic vs. Central Plains

1 p.m. – Mid-South vs. Northeast

4 p.m. – Southeast vs. Great Lakes

7:30 p.m. – Northwest vs. Western

Friday, Aug. 17 – Youth Academic Achievement Day

4 p.m. – Mid-Atlantic vs. Mid-South

7 p.m. – Central Plains vs. Northeast

Saturday, Aug. 18 – Military Appreciation Day presented by USAA; Special Salute to Women Veterans

1 p.m. – Great Lakes vs. Western
